You're Welcome Here
No pressure, no dress code, no insider language. Just a real community in Portland that's glad you showed up.
A Personal Welcome From Pastor Ethan
Hey — we're really glad you're considering visiting Anchor. Whether you've been walking past our building on SE Division for months or you just stumbled across us online, we want you to know: you're not walking into something polished and performative. You're walking into something real.
Ethan and Mia planted Anchor in 2019 with one simple hope — that Portland would have a place where people could find their anchor. In Jesus, in community, and in a city that genuinely needs both. What that looks like on a Sunday is thoughtful worship, honest teaching, and a room full of people who are figuring it out together.
First visits can feel like a lot. We get it. Come as you are, grab a coffee, and let us take it from there. We'd love to meet you.

Your First Visit
Come as you are — seriously. On any given Sunday you'll see everything from flannels to blazers. Portland keeps it casual, and so do we. Wear what makes you comfortable.
We have a safe, welcoming kids program for children through 5th grade. You'll check your kids in before the service — our team will walk you through the whole process and make sure everyone feels at home before you head into the main gathering.
Expect thoughtful, contemporary worship — music that's real and unhurried — followed by an honest, text-driven message. It's less like a performance and more like a conversation. People often say it felt 'less performative, more real,' and that's exactly what we're going for.
Services run about 75 minutes. We start on time and we respect your Sunday — there are no surprise encores.
